Manual Therapy

Graston Technique® is successful in effectively treating all chronic or acute and post surgical soft tissue conditions. The technique offers several advantages to the patient such as:
  •  Chronic conditions thought to be permanent can be resolved
  •  Faster rehabilitation/recovery is facilitated
  •  Overall time of treatment is decreased
  •  Reduces need for anti-inflammatory medication like IBUprofen
Graston Technique® is a treatment used worldwide by more than 7,500 clinicians including athletic trainers, chiropractors, hand therapists, occupational and physical therapists. The technique is used by more than 125 professional and amateur sports organizations, and is part of the curriculum at 32 respected colleges and universities.

The technique assists the clinician:
  •  Provide improved diagnostic treatment
  •  Detect major and minor fibrotic (the formation of an abnormal amount of fibrous tissue in an organ or part as the result of inflammation, stress, irritation, or healing) changes
  •  Increase patient satisfaction by achieving notaciably better outcomes
As the patient, you benifit from decreased overall time of treatment, from improved rehabilitation/recovery time and from resolved chronic conditions thought to be permanent. This allows you to remain on the job, reduce the need for cumbersom splints, braces and job-site modifications minizing the impact of your injury.

Video Demonstration

By using six stainless steel instruments which are the cornerstone of Graston Technique®, the curvilinear edged instruments combined with their concave/convex shapes contours to various parts of the body. This design allows for ease of treatment, minimal stress to the clinician's hands and maximum tissue penetration.

Much like a tuning fork, the instrument resonates in the clinician's hands allowing the clinician to isolate adhesions and restrictions, and treat them very precisely. Since the metal surface of the instruments does not compress as do the fat pads of the finger, deeper areas can be accessed and treated. These instruments increase significantly what the human hands can feel and do.
